Solar Hot Water Install & Repair

Reduce your electricity bills with a solar hot water systemSolar hot water systems consist of solar panels and a hot water tank fitted to your roof. During the day the solar panels convert sunlight into water heating energy, and the hot water is stored in the tank ready for your use.

Solar heating is perfect for most sunny areas in Australia, but you may be thinking it’s not sunny enough in your area or you may have had bad experiences with solar water heating in the past (such as running out of hot water).

Technology has improved dramatically over the years so that systems are more efficient, and we can even fit your system with an electric or gas booster for when the sun isn’t shining.

Call us now for more information on our Solar Hot Water solutions or if your system is in need of fast repair.

Gas & Electric Hot Water Install & Repair

No matter what hot water needs are, we’ve got the perfect system for you. If you’re looking to reduce your heating costs dramatically and solar isn’t an option, you could consider a heat pump. Heat pumps do operate better in warmer climates, by using heat from the surrounding environment.

Gas and electric systems are the most reliable types, not relying on sun or outside temperature to produce hot water. Many of these systems heat the water right when you need it, instead of storing it, so that you never run out.

There are a number of factors which would decide which system is right for you, such as location, budget, no. of users, etc — call our expert team today for advice on the right hot water service for you.

If your current hot water system just needs repairing or maintenance, we can come and fix it fast.

Did you know this about hot water?

If you have a stove, or a boiler that heats water, you can also heat your domestic hot water tank.

The average temperature of domestic hot water is set at 70 ºC, this is to prevent the growth of harmful bacteria such as Legionella.

A much safer temperature for domestic hot water is 50 ºC which can be achieved by the use of either a tempering valve or a Thermostatic Mixing Valve (TMV). This is because water at a lower temperature takes longer to cause injury.

For example:

  • At 70 ºC, it takes less than 1/2 second for hot water to cause third-degree burns.
  • At 60 ºC, it takes 1 second for hot water to cause third-degree burns.
  • At 55 ºC, it takes 5 seconds for hot water to cause third-degree burns.
  • At 50 ºC, it takes five minutes for hot water to cause third-degree burns.
  • 40-43 ºC, adult bathing temperature
  • 38 ºC, children bathing temperature
